The
Vine Teachings is based on four key scriptures, or what we like to call
the four pillars of our ministry. The Last Pillar is Hosea 4:6a (My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;).
In our current
age there seems to be a race for knowledge and greater understanding.
Yet with all the knowledge that we have today, we are still not content.
Our lives have changed into a constant challenge to keep up with the
advances of our time. Unfortunately the result of this race for
knowledge is the loss of many moral standards and important values in
our life.
In many people’s lives the priorities have changed
from God and family first to work, wealth and status first. The Bible
teaches us that the beginning of knowledge is to fear God. So many
people have turned their back on God believing
that they are making an informed or knowledgeable decision.
Thus it is clear that even though we are racing to gain more knowledge
we are moving in the wrong direction; and the consequences of our
decisions have left us with a society that is ruled by crime,
unrighteous practices and injustice.
We need to turn back to God and find our wisdom and knowledge from His word; else we are heading for destruction!
